The I Love Stock Island Festival is a city-wide event December 7-9, 2018 celebrating the heritage and history of Stock Island. Not limited to any one specific venue or happening, guests are invited to experience three full days of free & ticketed events showcasing Stock Island’s culinary, entertainment, artistic, cultural & historic gems.

Friday, December 7, 2018 Food Truck Finds (lunch - times vary) Discover the flourishing food truck scene on Stock Island. These trucks and take-aways are hidden in plain sight all over the island and are excited to have you try a special $5 sample to taste what they have to offer. Taco Grilla on US 1 North next to We Cycle, Taco Express on Cross Street next to the bus stop behind the Sandal Factory, DeLuna’s Bar at Grill at Stock Island Marina, No Way Jose next door in the back to Roostica, Yahman’s Authentic Jamaican Jerk Shack at COAST. Stay tuned for a complete list of participants. Taste of Stock Island – 4 pm – 7 pm Get your ticket to the very best food and beverage that Stock Island has to offer. Guests will board a trolley to some of our favorite eateries and hangouts for specially chosen small plates and beverage pairings presenting the very best on the island.  The trolley is limited to 35 guests plus your knowledgeable tour guides so you'll have a great time with new and old friends. At each location, the chef or owner (or maybe both) will welcome your group and tell you a little about the dish and the accompanying wine, beer or spirit. Guests receive a souvenir I Love Stock Island glass. You’ll have time to look around, absorb the atmosphere and we’ll board for the next stop. [Get Tickets Soon] 2nd Annual Stock Island Lighted Boat Parade presented by Sunset Watersport (free event) – Stock Island Marina Village Activities @ 6 pm; parade @ 7 pm; after party at Hogfish Bar & Grill at 8 pm The Stock Island event allows vessels of all shapes and sizes the opportunity to light up the night and compete for great cash and prizes. Guests will delight seeing the bright lights on everything from tri-masted schooners to dinghies to the Shrimp boats that call Stock Island home. Come early for great food at Matt’s, the Salty Oyster and Deluna’s as well as concessions and multiple bars throughout the property. Walk the docks to see for spectacular decorations and lights on the boats and liveaboards who make Stock Island Marina home. Presented by Sunset Watersports with free viewing events at Stock Island Marina Village and Safe Harbor with live music at Hog Fish Bar & Grill at the official after party. Saturday, December 8, 2018 Discover Stock Island (free event) - 10 am – 4 pm Discover Stock Island is a day-long event based at the all new Bernstein Park in the heart of Stock Island. We kick off with a 5k and roll into the festival featuring live music, food trucks, vendors and kid’s activities. Enter your cuties in the Little Mr & Miss Stock Island Contest or compete in the first annual Stock Island Olympics: Feats of Seamanship. Be sure to sample and vote for your favorite roasted pork in the Cuban Pig Roast: Chinabox Challenge or enter and win fame and fortune! And then hop on the trolley to Discover all the businesses in Stock Island offering you a chance to win great treasure! Rooster Run 5K Walk/Run Presented by Fyt Key West ($25 entry fee) Registration @ 8, Race @ 9:30 am Join us for our first ever Stock Island 5k offered by Theme Runs and presented by the newest facility in town, Fyt Key West. The course takes you in and around our waterfronts, neighborhoods and businesses as you discover Stock Island in a whole new way. T-shirts, medals and beer to our participants. Start and finish at Bernstein Park just in time for party. All ages, pet friendly. $25 entry fee. [Register Here] Discover Stock Island Trolley Tours & Open Houses (free event) - 10 am – 4 pm Businesses, restaurants, galleries and attractions will host open houses with specials all day long. Visitors will pick up a Stock Island pirate map with the participating locations marked and will tour Stock Island at their leisure via trolleys. Pick a track specially prepared for art lovers, history buffs, families, or foodies. Guests may ‘find treasure’ along the way for a chance to win some great prizes. Highlights include $10 history tours from Up the Keys Tours and $10 banana boat rides from Sunset Watersports along with many other free activities. The new Bernstein Park is your hub offering concessions, the Stock Island Marketplace and more. . [See a full list of participants and vendors coming soon] Little Mr. & Miss Stock Island Contest ($10 entry fee) - 11 am Enter your child today in First Annual Little Mr. and Miss Stock Island contest at the I Love Stock Island Festival on Saturday, December 8th, 2018 at 11:00 am. Open to girls and boys ages 4, 5 and 6 and limited to just 25 entries, children will be awarded points based on their costume, stage presence and personality. This year’s theme is Historic Florida Keys. Winners will receive a sash, crown and prize package and represent Stock Island at various events throughout the year. All the little shrimpers will get a goodie bag. Advance registration recommended. [Sign up your kiddos here] Stock Island Olympics: Feats of Seamanship – ($10 entry fee) 11 am to 3 pm; award ceremony at 4 pm Calling all fisherman, captains, mates and dockers to compete in the first ever Stock Island Olympics. Come anytime during the day to visit each station to be scored and timed. Compete in Knot and Shot, Cast Netting, Acurate Cast, Speed Filet, Floating Buoy Shotput and Stock Island Nike Obstacle course. Overall winner trophy and prizes plus medals for top participant in each contest and everyone gets a t-shirt. Tiebreaker ‘chum’ eating contest at the 4 pm award ceremony. Who will win bragging rights for the first ever Stock Island Olympiad? All your friends say your pork is the best? Prove it! Enter the I Love Stock Island Cuban Pig Roast: China Box Challenge #1. Your chance to prove you make the best Cuban pork in the Keys. Open to amateur and professional chefs, winners will receive trophies and bragging rights. No charge to enter; you provide the pig, box and mad skills. Attendees will purchase $20 tasting tickets (includes a beer) and vote for their favorite, judges will score and select the Judge’s Choice winner. Proceeds benefit I Love Stock Island initiatives. Sail General Patton’s Boat the historic SV When & If 10 am, noon, 2 pm for only $35 or 4:30 pm Sunset Sail for $50 - GREAT VALUE. Departs from Stock Island Marina Village When General (Then colonel) George S. Patton commissioned one of America’s greatest designers to build him a boat in 1939, he had the ultimate ambition in mind: “When the war is over, and If I live through it, Bea and I are going to sail her around the world.” When and If was a new idea: a yacht which would maintain all her classic beauty and hold her own in recreational racing whilst being sturdy, comfortable, safe and luxurious enough to take a family on the voyage of a lifetime. Long after the General’s untimely death in 1945, When and If sails on. Immaculately and lovingly restored at 76 years old this gorgeous sailing machine stands as a monument to the private ambition of a great war hero and the ingenuity of a great designer – But she is still waiting to realise the dream for which she was conceived.
