Initiative Patron ($5000) – The top sponsors will be featured prominently on advertising and media related to the Initiative along with the everything branded to the Festival signature events. This highest level of commitment demonstrates to the community your organization’s dedication to making Stock Island a better place to live, work and play. Become a Patron Initiative Supporter ($250-$2500) – Initiative Supporters make a contribution to ensuring the success of the I Love Stock Island programs and events. Funds generated will be used toward beautification projects and supplies, advertising, signage, event expenses and overhead. Generate income – host a ticketed event! – I Love Stock Island will sell and distribute tickets officially associated the Festival making it easy for you to host a ticketed excursion, activity or event. The Festival will retain 20% of ticket sales in addition to appropriate participation fees. The business hosting the event will receive a check for 80% of the ticket sales less any taxes, credit card fees and ticketing/processing fees (if any). The amount due will be remitted to the hosting entity within one week of the event. SIGN UP AN EVENT 2018 EVENTS… Friday, December 7 Food Truck Finds (times vary) Friday, Dec. 8 11 am – 7:00 pm Get to know Stock Island's amazing food trucks. For best results, offer a $5 sample plates or specials. Extensive advertising and special food truck map. SIGN UP TO BE ON THE LIST Taste of Stock Island Friday, Dec. 8 4 pm – 7:00 pm This ticketed, signature event will be Friday evening and will offer the very best food and wine that Stock Island has to offer. Guests will board a trolley for the short ride to Stock Island. They will experience six stops offering specially chosen small plates and wine pairings. To participate, the restaurant or location must provide 35 total small plates to 1 group of 35 guests each. There will be two different tours. The event will supply the wine or spirit. SIGN UP TO BE A STOP 2nd Annual Stock Island Lighted Boat Parade Friday, December 8 Activities @ 6 pm; parade @ 7 pm; after parties @ 9 pm Enter your watercraft of any length or power in this family-friendly event. Trophies, prizes and award ceremony. Free viewing parties will be in the major marinas. Stock Island Marina Village offers free slip space so boats can pickup/drop off guests at their docks and even berth over night. ENTER A BOAT Saturday, December 8 Discover Stock Island Saturday, Dec. 9 10:00 am – 4:00 pm; Island-wide Discover Stock Island is now a day-long event based at the all new Bernstein Park in the heart of Stock Island. There’s many opportunities for participation and sponsorship as we kick off with a 5k “Rooster Run” and roll into the park events featuring live music, food trucks, vendors and kid’s activities. There will be three contests, perfect for branding, including Little Mr & Miss Stock Island for girls & boys ages 4-6, the first annual Stock Island Olympics: Feats of Seamanship and the Cuban Pig Roast: Chinabox Challenge where anyone can compete for trophies and prizes and guests sample and vote for their favorite roasted pork.. The park will be the main stop for the Discover Stock Island Trolley Tours. Like the past two years, Businesses, restaurants, galleries and attractions will host open houses with specials all day long. Visitors will pick up a Stock Island pirate map with the participating locations marked and will tour Stock Island at their leisure via trolleys. Guests may ‘find treasure’ along the way for a chance to win some great prizes like hotel stays, restaurant dollars & watersport certificates. Your sponsorship investment gets your business/organization listed on the map and in the online directory and included in the advertising for this event. Generators preferred. We will limit the types of food and number of vendors to offer diversity. Call first to check availability. Activities for kids – (free) Groups or organizations providing free activities for kids will be given space at no charge. Musicians/Entertainers – (in-kind) Businesses or organizations may sponsor a band or entertainer (clown, juggler, face painter, etc.) to be a part of the festival Sponsor Application -- many custom opportunities to be a part of the events Sunday, December 9 Artist Studio Tour ($100) – As part of Discover Stock Island events on Saturday, December 8 and Sunday December 9. A map of all the studios will be distributed. SIGN UP TO BE ON THE TOUR Sunday Brunch (Free to participate) Sunday, December 9 from 10 am – 1 pm. Sign up your restaurant to get on the advertising for guests to choose where they might enjoy a nice Sunday meal. SIGN UP Daily Happy Hours (Free to participate) Any establishment with a retail liquor license can be on the happy hour list. Submit establishment’s happy hour times and specials. Late night happy hours are encouraged. SIGN UP TO BE ON THE LIST Media Partner (In kind) – The Festival facilitates a substantial advertising purchase through and allocated from the Tourism Development Council but it’s through our media partners that the true collaboration and promotion in our community takes place. We hope local newspaper, periodicals, radio and television organizations recognize the important impact this Initiative will have on Stock Island and will help us spread the word. Community Partner (In Kind) – The I Love Stock Island initiative will only work if we band together as a community to offer support. Church, civic, fraternal and military organizations will be encouraged to mobilize their memberships to help with island- wide clean-up, volunteer for various events and donate items to help stock the SOS pantries. SIGN UP TO VOLUNTEER Beautification Team (Cash & Materials) – Individuals and businesses that care about Stock Island can show the love by donating funding, supplies and materials to assist with ongoing cleaning and beautification projects. We need everything from trash bags and gloves to hardy plants and flowers, mulch, paint and brushes etc. We hope to really get into the neighborhoods with Community Partner mobilizations to assist individual home owners and renters with specific outdoor projects.
